ED 510 Microsoft Word/Docs Assignment
This lesson hit home how frustrating learning can be for those who are impaired and how many obstacles can be avoided when the author follows a few simple steps to ensure the document is accessible. This year, the ADA has pushed for many government and college websites to comply with accessibility standards. This lesson helped me understand some of the changes that are needed.
Some of the steps I took on this document include making sure "inserted links" were added to text titles (not including a long website), large titles, spaces, and line breaks to show where one section ends and another begins. Since this was a class handout, I created QR codes with links to tutorials.
I enjoyed using the Heading Tool in Google Docs. I liked that it created a Document Tab. I also had never used the Table of Contents tool. Both tools were great because they help the user navigate the document faster.
